Rebecca Dobson

Beck’s passion for dance and performing arts began at the age of 5 when she started dance classes at her local studio. She later completed Certificate III in Performing Arts at Brent Street Studios Full Time course where she learnt from some of the best Australian and International choreographers. Beck participated in the Pulse workshop in Los Angeles and has taken classes at the renowned Broadway Dance Centre and the Edge. Beck has most recently completed a tap workshop ‘Tap into the Unknown’ and continues to take classes from some of the best tap dancers to continue to build her own skills and knowledge to pass onto her students.

Beck worked as a resident performer at Frightnight Comedy Restaurant for many years and has travelled performing in the club circuit in shows such as Summer Fever, The Elvis Tribute show and The Rocky Horror Show. Beck was a Parramatta Eels cheerleader and performed alongside Kelly Clarkson at the 2011 NRL Grand Final. Rebecca has performed in many local theatre productions such as The Producer’s, Spamalot, Westside Story and Boy from OZ. In addition to Beck’s live performances she has also appeared in several film clips and worked on TV Shows and short films.

Beck is thrilled to be teaching her passion to the students at TPS and to have done so for many years. She considers it an honour to have been a part of the children’s lives for so long and to have watched them grow into beautiful people and dancers.
